I have struggled with addictions the majority of my life…

Anorexia, working out, alcohol and other addictions.

I tried over the years to control the addictions by putting barriers in place to prevent me from sliding back. I assumed that I was strong enough to manage the addictions, and then I would fall into the pit again.

It wasn’t until the Holy Spirit showed me that I was putting the addictions before God did I start crying out for help.

“Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He delivered them out of their distresses.Their soul abhorred all manner of food, And they drew near to the gates of death. Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, And He saved them out of their distresses. He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.”

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:28-29‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God’s love can conquer all addictions.
