“God’s supply of grace will always exceed our life’s demands for it.”
As I meditated upon this quote, the realization of God’s grace flowed over me as i recalled the stroke that I had two years ago. I found that there were lapses in my memory both short and long term. I prayed and prayed for restoration of what the enemy had stolen from me. I knew God’s word and I was holding onto His promise that “I was healed by His stripes.” 1 Peter 2:24. His word said it was done. I was waiting on the manifestation of God’s word.
As I continued to trust God, my faith grew. What I found was God was doing a deeper work in me. The loss of memory required me to completely rely upon the Holy Spirit as I ran a ministry, spoke at conferences and nursing homes. God brought to mind His word and He spoke through me in a mighty way.
“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
John 14:26 KJV
He continues to strengthen me to do His work, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
Philippians 4:13 KJV
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV
