Don’t give up; the Lord has your back! When difficulties strike we have a choice. We can wallow in hopelessness and proclaim woe is me or we can persevere, not give up and proclaim I know the Lord is with me and He will make everything right.
In 1986 Pastor John Piper almost gave up. He admitted in his journal: “I am so discouraged. I am so blank. I feel like there are opponents on every hand.” He did not walk away from his church and today He is Pastoring a Church that is reaching people
Our mindsets determine the course we take. We need to change our mindsets before difficulties come. So how do we get our minds to settle on the one who can lift us up, Jesus?
You need to be reading the Bible, God’s Word every day. Set aside time to spend meditating on His Word. Let it wash over you and provide a renewed mind and heart. When difficulties come you will have a peace that goes beyond understanding (Phil 4:7).
“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” – Galatians 6:9
