Do we get through grief?

Do we get through grief?

“So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great.” Job 2:13

As each morning comes, our hearts take count of the loss. Another day without our loved one. Our hearts question, how could the world just go on.

As life continues all around us, the reality of this may hurt. We want life to stop with us and recognize the life we have lost.

“Oh, that my grief were fully weighed, And my calamity laid with it on the scales!” Job 6:2

However, “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.” Lam 3:22-23

Yes, we get through grief. Not of our own doing. “He heals the brokenhearted And binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3
