Can we forget?

When a loss is fresh, it is difficult for your heart to understand that there can be tomorrows without your loved one. The heart seeks the things of old.

God says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past….” Isaiah 43:18. How is this even possible when you have become one with a person; and you feel like one half of you is gone?

Helen Keller once said, “When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

God is standing before us with open arms, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Isaiah 43:19
