God fights our battles

“Then the Lord awoke as from sleep, Like a mighty man who shouts because of wine. And He beat back His enemies; He put them to a perpetual reproach.” Psalms‬ ‭78:65-66‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

At times it may seem like the Lord is sleeping on the job and He needs to wake up.  God never sleeps, He is always alert to the schemes of the enemy and fights our battles for us.  He is our strongman! 

I love the last part of this verse, God puts our enemy in a constant rebuke!  

Notice the enemies our Gods enemies.  When we are being oppressed or attacked by the enemy, God is being attacked, because we belong to Him!   Thank you Jesus for being our fortified tower!
