Is the Honeymoon Over?

When we are in a love relationship, some say that in a time period of about twenty-two months the starry eyed feeling evaporates. This can also be a reminder as we enter a relationship with Jesus. We want to tell everyone right away about this new found love.

I believe that our enemy, Satan gives us a little honeymoon period; and when we least expect it we find ourselves is a great battle of spiritual warfare. The problem may be, we have spent less time in God’s word or less time in prayer, praise and worship of Him than we did in the beginning.

Jesus said in Revelation 2:4,5, “Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place – unless you repent.”

We need to listen when Jesus says, “or else”.
