Loss of Control
I experienced the reaction of an unbeliever, who was deeply distressed during the recent hurricane because there was loss of power for a couple of days; even though a generator was provided. I had to ponder why this individual was so distressed as others lost their homes due to flooding or trees falling through the roofs. It occurred to me that they faced the reality that they did not have control of their lives.
When we live with the realization that we have no control, but God is with us and He protects, rescues and restores those who love Him, we can have peace. This is not to say if something bad happens that a person does not love God; but God works through that circumstance to show His power and His peace that He brings to those who trust Him.
“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28 NKJV
“Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit’; instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.’” James 4:13,15 NKJV
Trust in God’s will for your life.
