Who is Talking?
Jesus spoke to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men”; to whom was Jesus really speaking?
We have to remember when people say things to us that are not of God, it is not they who speak, but principalities, powers, the rulers of darkness of this age, and spiritual wickedness in heavenly places. It can make it easier to forgive if we realize there is a separation from a person and the crime they committed. We can forgive the person; we do not have to forgive the crime.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12 NKJV
