What is the Secret?

Jesus’ disciples saw the works and miracles of Jesus. They asked Him to show them how to pray. In Luke 11, verses 2-4, we see the outline for prayer that Jesus gives. One of the first things (after bringing praise, honor and reverence to the Father) Jesus said was, “Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”

Sometimes when we pray we are not clear to what God’s will is for us. But Jesus clearly says that if it is done in heaven, then it is His will on earth. So let’s think of some things that are NOT done in heaven. Then we know for sure what God’s will is NOT.

To name a few, sickness, disease, abuse, lies, unforgiveness, hate, lawlessness, etc., are all not the will of God. If we have submitted our lives and will to the Father in heaven, He will bring His will down to earth to us. But we must ask in faith, believing He will do it. It is not a matter of if He can, but a matter of, do we believe what He has said.
