The day after the fireworks.

Many get married with great expectations.  The day comes, they marry and overtime the fireworks are gone.  Love is more than feelings/emotions.    It is a promise, a covenant agreement, a choice.

‘For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her to make her holy and clean, washed by the cleansing of God’s word. He did this to present her to himself as a glorious church without a spot or wrinkle or any other blemish’.  Ephesians 5:25-27

“For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.”  This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”  Ephesians 5:31-33
