Preparations

Our number one preparation in our lives should be to prepare for our heavenly home.  We see in I Thessalonians 5:23b, “…and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

But, scripture also encourages us to prepare our physical food for the winter. We see in Proverbs 30:25, “The ants are a people not strong, yet they prepare their food in the summer.” And another example of hard working ants is found in Proverbs 6:6-8, “Go to the ant, you sluggard! Consider her ways and be wise, which having no captain, overseer or ruler, provides her supplies in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest.” (NKJV)
