Farmers for God
We are familiar with the story of Jesus calling the fishermen to be fishers of men. (Matthew 4:19) But, we can also be farmers for God. In Corinthians, Paul states, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase. So then neither he who plants is anything, nor he who waters, but God who gives the increase. Now he who plants and he who waters are one, and each one will receive his own reward according to his own labor.” I Corinthians 3:6-8 NKJV
I have planted a garden on my own for the first time in my life. I planted, watered, and waited. God had to give life. Now I have corn two inches tall. The same is true as we labor in God’s garden. He is the life giver and He is always willing to give life. Trust while you wait.
