I’ll buy him! I heard these words coming out of my mouth as I looked at this pitiful looking puppy. He was scrawny, malnourished, and had a hump on his back. I looked at the other puppy who looked healthy. I prayed to the Lord silently. Are you sure Lord? He said yes, that is the one.

I am reminded that we all have been broken at one time in our lives. God did not overlook us. He said I will buy him. He bought us with the precious blood of Jesus.

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans 5:6-8
