I heard a comedian tell a story about his mom who was very religious and she prayed about everything. He said she continuously said that she was highly blessed and always where she was supposed to be. One day, the comedian received a call from his mom for him to come pick her up. He said, where are you? She said, where God wants me to be. He said if you are so highly blessed than God can figure out how to get you home.

What this comedian didn’t know was that God already had a plan. A plan to not only to get his mother home but also him.

“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,”2 Titus 2:11-13
