My Dad was always there to pick me up and give me sound advice; occasionally, he ministered tough love; and showed me that special hug. I know it has been a while since we have spoken, and my heart aches with that knowledge.

On this Father’s day, I don’t have my earthly Father to reach out to. But I know I have my heavenly Father that is always standing by to answer my questions, provide comfort and give love that goes beyond understanding.

“But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless.” Psalm 10:14
