In our society there seems to be a loss of respect for children. I remember talking to a woman many years ago who was very angry because people were having children. She had children of her own, but they were adults and as I recall they did not have children.

Many of our children today are being treated as commodities. Some are seen as a burden; another mouth to feed. But Jesus loved the children, and when His disciples wanted to push the children aside, Jesus asked them to bring the children to Him.

“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb is a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one’s youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them…”   Psalm 127:3-5 NKJV
