Fishing

A serious fisherman uses different types of lures for a specific fish. When we experience life, for what are we specifically searching? Most of us want love, security, safety, and peace. If this is what we are looking for, we have to ask ourselves, what are we using to lure these things into our lives?

God’s word lures us to the following:

God is love. “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”

I John 4:8

Security – “For You [God] have been a shelter for me, a strong tower from the enemy.” Psalm 61:3

Safety – “’For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now I will arise,’ says the LORD; ‘I will set him in the safety for which he yearns.’”

Psalm 12:5

Peace – “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”  Romans 8:6  NKJV
