Do You Have an Angel Watching Over You?

The subject of angels can be tricky. Sometimes we can be tempted to worship angels, which can result in worship of the created rather than the Creator. But, God did create angels to protect us.

I had an appointment where I had to drive in the rain during hurricane Matthew. Water was puddling on the road and hydroplaning was a real threat. I ran over a small limb that had previously fallen, and had been pulverized to a certain extent from others driving over it. I asked Jesus to drive the car for me and I was instantly relaxed and my tires seemed to stick to the road. Then on my return trip the Lord had me stop and order takeout, which I ate a little before the long trip home. A few miles down the road the traffic was stopped for a fallen tree. I waited about 15 minutes for the way to be cleared as the fire department sawed the logs and stacked them beside the road.

I know God was directing His angels that are watching over me, to guide me to order food, even though it was becoming dark quickly. He protected me all the way home (50+ miles), and I give Him the honor and glory for my safe trip on a treacherous night.

“For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.”

Psalms 91:11  NKJV
