How Do We View God’s Word?
Some people see the Bible as a book of historical facts. Some see it as a book of myths or fairy tales. Some see it as the divinely inspired word of God, where humans held the pen and the words flowed out on the paper.
Artists and creative people can understand the concept of inspiration. It is often called a muse. When a person feels the creative muse hit them it is as though they have no control but to perform as directed.
When we realize that God’s word is divinely inspired we have to respect its authority. It is not just a book of stories, but a book that gives life to the dying.
“For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”
Romans 4:12 NKJV
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalm 119:105 NKJV
“You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in Your word.”
Psalm 119:114 NKJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God.”
John 1:1 NKJV
