When I turned the corner to go down my road I saw smoke; the smell was one that I had never smelled before. As I pulled into the driveway, my heart became weak, and I felt a rush of helplessness overcome me. My house was gone, and my dogs were dead. The fire was smoldering as my life belongings lay to rest. At that moment, I not only felt helpless, but hopeless; I was not saved. Nevertheless, my comforter was watching and drawing me in.
Do you feel helpless in your current situation? Cling onto the one true hope, Jesus Christ. “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into him and dine with him, and he with Me.” Rev 3:20
