I am a very goal-driven person. I live to set and achieve goals.  So naturally, when I accepted Christ as my savior I was looking for the goal for my Christian life. When I was called into ministry, I thought I had finally figured out the goal.  Yet, I was mistaken.  God’s goal for our lives is love. 

“Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it:‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”  Mathew 22:37-40

Now, you may be saying, “Well, this doesn’t sound hard.”  Yet, look closely at what the Lord is asking.  He wants you to love with all your heart, soul and mind.   If your heart, soul, or mind are divided, broken, or evil, then obviously you can’t love with your whole being.  

Ask the Lord to heal you so you can love Him the way He desires.
