Could not wanting to fellowship with others be caused by a spirit?
We all need to be alone at times to recharge. Even Jesus went up on the mountain to pray. Yet, He was not alone. Because He connected with His Father. When we lose connection with God and others, we are susceptible to attacks and allow fellowship with the enemy. God said to Cain, “If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin lies at the door. And its desire is for you, but you should rule over it.” Gen 4:7.
We are either allowing God into our house or the enemy. You can’t close the door to both. The question is which will it be? When you are isolated, you are self-focused. You need to stand your ground (submit to God and resist the enemy, James 4:7)
“A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire; He rages against all wise judgment.” Proverbs 18:1
It is okay to recharge, but when you notice that you are cutting off all connections with others, there is something else going on.
“Enlarge the place of your tent, and let the curtains of your habitations be stretched out; spare not; lengthen your cords and strengthen your stakes, For you will spread abroad to the right hand and to the left; and your offspring will possess the nations and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.” Isaiah 54:2-3
God desires that we fellowship with others and actually encourages it. He will break us out of the spirit of isolation.
Pray, in the name of Jesus, I bind the spirit of isolation, pride, self-focus from disconnecting me from others and myself. I bind all lying spirits that are keeping me apart from others. Lord, help me maintain a healthy balance between solitude and fellowship. Thank you, Lord, that you place the solitary,
“God places the solitary in families and gives the desolate a home in which to dwell; He LEADS THE PRISONERS OUT TO PROSPERITY; but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.” Psalms 68:6
