“Then He said to them all, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me.” Luke 9:23
Jesus was destined to bear the cross for us. He was going to be our example. The example of a life laid down.
Jesus declares that if we want to follow after Him, we must fulfil two conditions:
- 1. We need to deny ourselves
- 2. and pick up the cross. The cross is where your will and God’s will cross.
Once we have completed these two steps, we can follow Jeuss.
