“An astonishing and horrible thing Has been committed in the land:  The prophets prophesy falsely, And the priests rule by their own power; And My people love to have it so.” Jeremiah 5:30-31

Prophets and priests worked of their own will and told the people what they wanted to hear.    Nothing has changed in our times.   People love to hear pleasant words, yet when confronted with their character or sins, they turn the other way.   

Jesus said in the last days, “many false prophets will rise up and deceive many.”  Mathew 24:11
