For I know your sorrow

magbo system

God knows our hearts and understands our sorrows, “For I know their sorrows” Exodus 3:7

The Bible speaks of many losses and the reactions the people had:

Job got up and tore his robe and shaved his head. Then he fell to the ground in worship” Job 1:20. Job knew there was only one who could rectify the pain, His king.

“Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, “if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:21 and “When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” John 11:32. Notice, Mary fell to the feet of Jesus; she went low, she expressed her pain and lost hope.

You may be expressing your sorrow in a similar way. Lord, if you had answered my prayer, my loved one would still be living. Why? It is okay to ask why. God knows your heart and mind are trying to understand.

Notice Jesus’ reaction to Martha and Mary’s loss, “When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled.  “Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied.   Jesus wept.” John 11:33-35. God understands our sorrow, and He does not stand by and do nothing when our hearts are broken. “He healthe brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” Psalm 147:3

Allow the Lord to heal your broken heart today.

Pray: Lord, I have been keeping you at a distance. I need you to come into my life and heal my heart and bind up all the wounds. I pray this in Jesus’ name.

God will answer this prayer because it is His will.
