“Have mercy on me, O God”, Psalm 51:1. David cried out to God when He realised the sin that He committed. David knew the only one who could rectify the situation was God, and He knew He needed His favour.   

We all need the Lord’s mercy. We are all sinners, and our hearts are deceitful.  

“The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it?” Jer 17:9   

Did you know that the Lord is cavacing the earth seeking hearts that are leaning toward Him so He can show them mercy (favor).   

“For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him. In this you have done foolishly; therefore from now on you shall have wars.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

Pray: “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalm 51:10
