A year ago, our house was broken into. The police arrived, and we authorised signs on the house identifying that we have given the police the authority to enter the house if anyone breaks in.

The enemy is looking for any opportunity to steal from us.

“The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

The devil cannot trespass unless we give him authority. We give him authority through open doors. We can open a door through sin, unforgiveness or ignorance of God’s word.

“But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.” Genesis 4:7b

Stand your ground against the enemy, do not give the devil a foothold (Eph 4:27).
