“And so she departed, and went to the man of God at Mount Carmel.

So it was, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to his servant Gehazi, “Look, the Shunammite woman! Please run now to meet her, and say to her, ‘Is it well with you? Is it well with your husband? Is it well with the child?'” And she answered, “It is well.”  2 Kings 4:25-26

The Shunammite woman had just lost her son, her only son. Yet, she declared, “It is well.” She had great faith and trust in God. We need to have the same faith and trust in God.  No matter what is happening in our lives, we need to declare what is! “It is well, It is well with my Soul!”

Horatio Spafford, after the loss of his four daughters at sea, wrote the Hymn, “It is well with my soul” His faith and trust in God carried him through this loss and has been an inspiration for so many. Can you say, It is well!  I trust You God?
