When I walk my dogs and come up to a crosswalk, I tell my dogs to wait. They stop and wait until I tell them to go. Sometimes we wait a long time.
They don’t know that I am telling them to wait for their good.
When God tells us to wait, it is for our own good.
People today don’t want to wait for anything. We live in a fast-paced world….. We don’t want to wait for traffic lights, packages, food, or even to receive answered prayers from God. We live in a new generation where people want everything now. Waiting on God can cause us to learn the greatest lessons.
Charles Stanley once said, “God plans on using the long pauses in our lives for our blessings…If we let Him.”
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, To the soul who seeks Him.” Lamentations 3:25
