Halloween was always an exciting day for my family. We would dress up the kids and, go out trick or treating, and have fellowship with neighbors. As I grew in my faith, I started to question whether I should be celebrating a holiday that has its traditions in ghosts, witchcraft and death (evil practices), the ushering of the cold winter and the dark half of the year. Is this symbolic of what is to come? This may drive many Christians to pray. As I write this, what comes to mind is that we should always pray so we are not deceived. Whatever the Lord is calling you to do, do for the glory of God.
“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God” 1 Corinthians 10:31
Paul wrote to the Corinthians to inform them of how God wants them to live amid a corrupt culture. The verse 10:31 should speak for itself. No matter what we do, do it for God.
