This past week, I let my emotions get the best of me. The internet company stood me up. It had been a week since my troubleshooting call, and my internet was still down. I had been using my hotspot to be able to work at home. The day came when the company was going to come out. I waited five hours, and the tech was a no-show. I called the company and expressed how upset I was, and without praying, I asked to be transferred to the cancellation department. I paid for that decision, literally. I realised that I did not have unlimited data, and I was exceeding my allowance. I had to pay for an increase several times to get work done.
“My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.” James 1:19-20
