Be perfect. Sounds like a command, doesn’t it? The Bible says, “Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.” Mathew 5:48.
How can we possibly be perfect? The Greek word for perfect is complete, blameless, mature, brought to its end.
The way we achieve perfection is wholehearted commitment to God. “But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.” Deut 4:29
Jesus is our example, He laid down His life for His Father, “And He said to them, “Go, tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I shall be perfected.’ Luke 13:32
The third day was the resurrection, and Jesus was perfected. He achieved the goal.
