“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.” Mathew 7:1-2
We are not to judge people. We do not know the intents of their heart.
Remember when Samuel was told to go and anoint the next king of Israel. He went to the house of Jesse the Bethlehemite and when Eliab came before Samuel, Samuel said “Surely the LORD’s anointed is before Him! But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:6-7
Judgement of all men is in God’s sovereign hands. God the Father has chosen to turn in over to Jesus, and Jesus has chosen to turn judgement over to the word of God. God’s word will judge us. Since the Word of God will judge us than we have the opportunity to judge ourselves. Paul says, “For if we judge ourselves. We should not be judged.” 1 Cor 11:31
