In most cases, those who have lost a loved one will ask God why their loved one died.
Does questioning God on why something has happened mean your faith is weak? No, not at all. Your mind is trying to find answers to resolve the heart issue. Including God in what you are experiencing is an acknowledgement of Him. You are saying, Lord, I am in pain; I don’t understand. I know you do. I need your help understanding so I can get out of this pain.
Look at the Prophet Habakkuk; he went back and forth with God and questioned Him on His ways. The questions that the Prophet brought forward are what many are struggling with today: 1) Where were you when? (1:1-11); Why do bad things happen to good people? (1:12-2:4); why do good things happen to bad people (2:4-20)? And will I survive what I am going through (3:1-19)?
Keep the dialogue open with God, and He will answer you!
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.” 2 Cor 1:3-4
