Jesus is called a mighty God in Isaiah 9:6. Have you ever stopped and asked yourself, what makes Him a mighty God? Is it His many feats He has accomplished: parting of the Red Sea, saving Daniel from the Lion’s den or delivering Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego from the fiery furnace)? 

Or could it be that He looked upon you and showed grace and mercy?

“For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great God, mighty and awesome, who shows no partiality nor takes a bribe. He administers justice for the fatherless and the widow, and loves the stranger, giving him food and clothing.” Deut 10:17-18

God desires that all come to know Him. All the world is celebrating Christmas, yet we see the unrighteous trying to suppress the truth that we have a Mighty God. He reaches out to each of us uniquely. It all started with sending His son Jesus from Heaven to Earth in a humble and unique way to save His people (“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”) Mathew 1:21

“Behold, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” John 1:29
