“He shall regard the prayer of the destitute, And shall not despise their prayer.” Psalm 102:17
The Hebrew word for destitute is “aror”, naked, those that have been stripped; in need of everything. Sin caused Adam and Eve to realize they were naked and needed everything.
“Then the eyes of both [Adam and Eve] were opened and they realized that they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves.” (NIV)” Genesis 3:7
They had the complete covering of God until they turned from the Lord and walked in their own ways. However, God is faithful, even when we are not, “Also for Adam and his wife the LORD God made tunics of skin, and clothed them.” Genesis 3:21
We are all destitute when we are not walking with the Lord and shame comes upon us. God can be your covering when you cry out to Him, He hears the prayers of the needy.
The blood of Jesus is the atonement for your soul (Lev 17:11), and God will clothe you with His righteousness (Isaiah 61:10).
