It has been raining heavily here in Virginia for the last few days. It had been so long since we had rain; I wondered where I had put my Umbrella. Just like we need an umbrella to protect us from physical storms, we need a covering to protect us from spiritual storms.

Storms will come into our lives as Christians in the form of losses and hardships, bringing fear, doubt, hopelessness, heaviness, despair.. It might be a health issue, financial problem, relationship issue, legal or something else. Jesus tells us we will have problems in this world, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Jesus is our spiritual Umbrella, our covering. Declare today, “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:2
