Count Your Blessings

Count Your Blessings

God poured out His blessings so much yesterday I could hardly stand it. After church the Holy Spirit told me to deliver a book to someone and it was 50 miles east of the church I attend. I live over 50 miles west of my church. I went and was only a few miles from my family, so I dropped in for a short visit.

When I visited my mom and daughter, my daughter surprised me with a gift and then gave me a much needed haircut. As I was driving home I was really hungry. I was hoping I would make it home without having to stop, but God had blessings for me.

I stopped at a fast food restaurant and the driver in front of me paid for my meal. Then I stopped to buy gas at a popular convenience store. It was two cents cheaper per gallon than when I passed it in the morning. I went inside to buy a fountain drink and the clerk asked me if I wanted it free. I said yes. I had reached my limit of buy some, get one free.

It is so encouraging to me to see God cares about the little details in my life.

“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ … For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”

Matthew 6:31-33  NKJV
