children-grieving-adviceChildren’s responses to grief vary like adults. The best thing you can do for your child is to be honest and express your love for them.

  1. Be factual with your child. However, use terms they can understand. Different age groups respond differently.
  2. Re-emphasize your love for them.
  3. Be patient if your child is angry or is acting younger than he or she is.
  4. Try and keep regular routines as much as possible.
  5. Express your emotions.
  6. Look at photos and share stories. This will help your child express their emotions.

If you believe your child needs additional help, submit a prayer request for support.
